Eyeing us, too, are government-run surveillance cameras, in numbers growing by the month. Thanks to technology advances and a bountiful spigot of federal anti-terror funds, the nation's streets, parks, schools, buses and other public spots are being strung with thousands of the high-tech devices, most monitored by police.
